Edward Anthony Ipser Sr., 76, died suddenly on Monday, March 21, 2011, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Interment: 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2011 in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.

Ed was born in New York, N.Y., on July 22, 1934, the only child of the late Anton and Antonia Ipser, German immigrants. After three years at Chaminade in Mineola, N.Y., he graduated from Roanoke Catholic High School in Virginia. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957 (Korean war veteran). Ed graduated from Louisiana Tech with a B.S. in electrical engineering in 1961. While there he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity and met his wife of over 50 years, Annice Bearden Rafield Ipser. He received an MBA from Texas Christian University in 1975.
Ed worked for General Dynamics, and in 1981 became the founder and owner of Ipser & Associates, Inc., a Fort Worth-based firm, engaged in market research, business analysis and feasibility evaluation, with his longtime associate, Mary Nedde.
He was a registered professional engineer in Texas and Louisiana and a member of the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers. For many years he served on the state board of directors for the Rural Rental Housing Association and in 2009 they awarded him the W.S. Allen Memorial Service Award in recognition of outstanding community service and support of the association.
Ed was a senior member of Fort Worth South Rotary and received the Paul Harris Fellow award for his service to Rotary. For many years he served as a Democratic precinct chair and was proud of the fact that he had served as a volunteer poll worker for over 20 years and never missed an election. He helped form the TCU-area University West Neighborhood Association.
A lifelong devoted Catholic, Ed was an active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. As an avid hunter, he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and skill of gun safety and hunting with both his children and grandchildren. He was also known for his passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ed was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Mary Louise Rafield Els.
Survivors: His wife, Annice Bearden Rafield Ipser; son, Edward Anthony Ipser Jr. and wife, Surjatini Widjojo; granddaughters, Samantha, Antonia and Katrina of Los Gatos, CA; daughter, Jennie Lee Ipser; grandson, Aaron Anthony of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Mary Margaret Ipser Walker and husband, Andrew of Westlake Village, CA; and great-niece, Cynthia Teja of Jakarta, Indonesia.

DATA ANALYSIS
I&A has developed specialized models and custom software tailored to determination of feasibility, i.e., financial pro formas, buying power analysis, housing demand projections, statistical processing of survey data, etc. Data compilation, analysis, and report preparation are fully computerized. In house equipment includes four personal computers, two laptops, laser and color printers, and other equipment necessary for the production of professional quality reports. In addition, all professional staff have home computers compatible with the in house machines.
